Alana Fields and Hasim Mardin were married May 3, 2015, at 6 p.m. at Vincigliata Castle in Fiesole, Italy. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Fields of Columbus. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jerry Thomas and the late Mr. Thomas, the late Mr. and Mrs. Kimble Crossley, and the late Mr. Robert Fields, all of Columbus. She was given in marriage by her parents. The bride wore a silk chiffon dress adorned with silver hand beading on the bust and shoulders and a custom-made belt. She carried a bouquet of pink peonies. Sara Crossley Fields of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the bride’s sister, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Burleson Ethridge of Birmingham, Alabama, and Maricela Gonzalez of Austin, Texas. They wore chiffon dresses in shades of green and each carried a single peony. Charlotte Lane McAdams, niece of the bride, served as flower girl and wore a dress handmade by the bride’s grandmother. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Omer Mardin of Istanbul, Turkey. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mustafa Sunan, the late Mr. and Mrs. Namik Ustun, and the late Mr. Hasim Mardin, all of Istanbul. Englin Mardin of Istanbul, the groom’s brother, served as best man. Groomsmen were Sina Manas and Utku Turgay, also of Istanbul. Following a honeymoon in the Cinque Terre, the couple resides in Austin, where the groom is employed by the Investment Management Division of Teacher Retirement System of Texas. The bride is a graduate student and is employed by Taulia out of San Francisco.
