Claire Louise Barrett and John Ryan Worthington of Huntsville, Alabama, were married at 6 p.m. May 7, 2016, at the Ledges in Huntsville, with the Rev. Rosemary McMahan officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barrett of Caledonia. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dwight Barrett and the late Mr. Barrett of Philadelphia, the late Ms. Jean MacNeill of Starkville and the late Mr. B.W. MacNeil of Sturgis. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an elegant ivory lace fit and flare gown with a chapel train. Scalloped lace and crystal beading accented the deep V-neckline. Embroidered lace appliqués framed the illusion back with covered buttons. Her lace-edged veil was refashioned from her mother’s veil. Allison Chandler of Madison, Alabama, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Attendants were Caitlin Hunter of Houston, Texas; Sarah Anne Murphy of Savannah, Georgia; and Mary-Anne Runner of Booneville. Bridal attendants wore floor-length pistachio sleeveless chiffon gowns with a V-neck and deep V-back. The A-line skirts with front and back pleats fell from a crisscross pleated cummerbund. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Worthington of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thomas of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Mr. and Mrs. John Worthington of Carmichael, California. Blake Hulgan of Atlanta, Georgia, served as best man. Groomsmen were Joshua Blankenship of Huntsville, Alabama; Grant Chandler of Madison, Alabama; and Grant Stewart of Huntsville. Following a wedding trip to Emerald Bay Bahamas, the couple resides in Huntsville, where the bride is a social worker at Huntsville Hospital and the groom is a systems engineer for KBRwyle.
