Anna Gaines Gaskin and Hunter Blaine Johnson, both of Columbus, exchanged wedding vows at 5 p.m. Oct. 28, 2017, at St. Paulís Episcopal Chapel in Columbus, with Paul Bennett officiating. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Leonard Keith Gaskin of Columbus. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Leonard Gaskin and the late Mr. Gaskin, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Douglas Bateman Jr., all of Columbus. She was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a full-length Chantilly lace illusion-neckline gown with a cascading mermaid flare train. Her crown of babyís breath featured a chapel-length veil flowing from it. She also wore her great-great-grandmotherís bracelet and her grandmotherís earrings. Katelin Byrd King of Mobile, Alabama, served as matron of honor. Taylor Cabiness of Ethelsville, Alabama, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Caroline Glenn, Maggie Gardner and Mixson Bateman, cousin of the bride, all of Columbus; Anna Daniels of Cartersville, Georgia; and Taylor Hatcher Fourman of Statham, Georgia. Attendants wore full-length A-line princess, off-the-shoulder chiffon dresses in dusty rose. The groom is the son of Mr. Lance Lynwood Johnson of Columbus and Ms. Jennifer Wheeler Johnson of Columbus. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Thad Lynwood Johnson of West Point, and Mr. David Lee Wheeler and the late Mrs. Wheeler of Millport, Alabama. Lee Pegram III of Columbus served as best man. Groomsmen were Edmund Gaskin, brother of the bride, of Columbus; Garrett Dees of Columbus; and Ben Goodwin of Huntsville, Alabama. Anders and Harris Griffin served as ring bearers and carried the brideís grandfatherís bible, wrapped in lace from the brideís gown. It was also embellished with the brideís grandmotherís wedding ring and the groomís grandmotherís jeweled cross. The couple resides in Columbus, where the bride teaches at Main Street Christian School, and the groom is an English tutor for the Lowndes County School District.
