Sarah Elizabeth Freeman of Mooreville and Steven Douglas Adams III of Smithville exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m. March 23, 2019, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Columbus, with the Rev. Jearl Hunley and the Rev. Terry Hunley officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curry L. Freeman III of Columbus. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curry L. Freeman Jr., and the Rev. and Mrs. Jearl Hunley, all of Columbus. The bride wore a formal, sleek V-neck gown of ivory matte mikado with a V-back, fabric-covered buttons and beaded sash. Her semi-cathedral train was complemented by a lace-trimmed cathedral veil. She was given in marriage by her parents. Ashley Symes Freeman of Mooreville, sister-in-law of the bride, served as matron of honor. Stevi Laurene Carter of Starkville served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elaina Victoria Adams, sister of the groom, of Smithville; Shelby Foster Grimes of Brandon; Brooke Pennington Hall and Carlie Burke Lancaster, both of Caledonia; Ashley Marie Langford of Columbus; Peyton Haley Stanley of Nashville, Tennessee; and Taylor Cliett Troxler of Saltillo. Bridal attendants each wore a dusty blue chiffon floor-length A-line gown, with illusion neckline and high neck with a bow in back. Maeleigh Jo Frances Freeman of Mooreville, niece of the bride, served as flower girl. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Douglas Adams II of Smithville, and Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Barnes of Hamilton, Ohio. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Barnes of Miamisburg, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Tim Cook of Trenton, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pruitt of Smithville; Ms. Cathy Vance and the late Mr. Steve Willis of Hamilton, Ohio; and the late Mr. Steven Adams. Groomsmen were Curry Littleton Freeman III of Mooreville, brother of the bride; Hayden Isaac Gill of Columbus; Tyler Jaudon Gill of Starkville; Robertson Morrow Leatherman III of Tunica; Brandon Lee Majors of Hamilton, Ohio, brother of the groom; Austin Todd Spann of Birmingham, Alabama; Andrew Kyle Stephens of Amory; and James Matthew Welch and Xaiver Shawon Westbrook, both of Smithville. Preston Carter Majors of Hamilton, Ohio, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer. Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Mooreville, where the groom is the Deposit Operations Accounting Team lead at Renasant Bank in Tupelo. The bride is an Emergency Room nurse at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
