Claudia Anna Stuart of Jackson and Patrick Albert Williams of Columbus were married Oct. 11, 2008, at 6 p.m. at College Hill Presbyterian Church in Oxford with the Rev. Curtis E. Pressley III officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Elder Stuart of Jackson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Burnham Stuart Jr. and Mr. Aleck James Primos and the late Billie Claude Primos, all of Jackson. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a designer silk taffeta gown with a sweetheart neckline, princess waistline and mermaid skirt. She carried a bouquet of mums, hypericum berries, sunflowers and craspedia, with a handkerchief from the groom's mother's wedding, and a handkerchief edged with lace from her mother's wedding gown. Katherine Stuart Green of Jackson, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor. Sarah Thorne Davis of Portland, Ore., and Kathleen Williams of Oxford, sisters of the groom; Susannah Ash and Molly McVey, both of Jackson; Katherine Holmes of Athens, Ga.; Elizabeth Newman of Nashville, Tenn.; Emilie McGee of Oxford; and Meghan Odom of Starkville served as bridesmaids. Bailey Ann Billings, cousin of the bride; Hayley Jane Hayes; Catherine Addison; Elizabeth Martin; and Elizabeth Bohlke also served as attendants. The bridesmaids wore chocolate tissue-taffeta dresses and carried small hand-tied bouquets of flowers matching the bride's bouquet. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Alan Thorne Williams of Columbus. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Albert George Abide Jr. and James Oliver Williams and the late Bette Thorne Williams, all of Greenwood. The groom's father served as best man. Matthew Alexander of Starkville; Matthew Apple of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; Ryan Lessman Davis of Portland, Ore., brother-in-law of the groom; James Elkin Jr. of Trujillo, Peru; Gray Flora of Charlottesville, Va.; Taylor Sledge of Jackson; and George Stuart Jr. of Jackson and James Stuart of San Diego, Calif., brothers of the bride, served as groomsmen. Benjamin George Furniss, cousin of the bride, also served as an attendant. Following a wedding trip to Barnsley Gardens and Peter Island, British Virgin Islands, the couple resides in Chattanooga, Tenn.
