Two of five murder trials scheduled for Oktibbeha County Circuit Court”s April term have been continued until the summer.
Verina Childs, 38, of 3875 Jeff Peay Road, who is suspected of killing her husband, Douglas Childs, while hunting in November 2009, saw her trial pushed back to Aug. 1. And Steven Love, 28, of Maben, had his trial for the 2008 beating death of 68-year-old William C. Brown rescheduled for July 26 after Love switched attorneys.
The rape trial of Tony Davis was also pushed back to July 26 and Bobby Ivy”s sexual battery case was continued until July 27. Sidney McDuffie”s fondling trial was continued until August 1 due to the unavailability of a witness and David Parrish”s fondling and sexual battery case was continued to Aug. 1 while pending motions are considered.
The current Circuit Court term is due to wrap up in early May.

- Rafael Scott, of 121 W. Garrison Drive in Tupelo, pleaded guilty to five counts of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Scott was sentenced to six years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections with five years of post-release supervision and ordered to obtain his GED.
- Waren Sevongny pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling. Sevongny was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $1,170 in fines and restitution.
- Johnnie Yeates, of 1573 Rock Hill Road in Starkville, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault – domestic violence. Yeates was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC, five years post-release supervision and ordered to pay $5,277 in fines and restitution.
- Robin Robertson, of 1146 Hwy. 45 N. in West Point, pleaded guilty to grand larceny. Robertson was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $2,500 in fines and restitution.
n Adrian Pointdexter, of 290 Swedenburg Circle in Columbus, pleaded guilty to sale of MDMA. Pointdexter was sentenced to five years in MDOC, five years post-release supervision and ordered to pay $5,000 in fines.
- Danny Antwyn Solomon, of 328 Bonnie Drive in Warner Robins, Ga., pleaded guilty to sexual battery and burglary of a building. Solomon was sentenced to 17 years in MDOC and five years post-release supervision.
- Cortez De”Andre Robinson, of 1392 B W. Sand Creek Road in Starkville, was sentenced to five years in MDOC after post-release supervision for a prior conviction for grand larceny was revoked.
- Chioke Mickens, of 1457 Chase Lane in Starkville, pleaded guilty to DUI — third offense. Mickens was sentenced to one years house arrest and four years post-release supervision in lieu of five years in MDOC and ordered to pay $2,000 in fines and report to community counseling for treatment.
- Keary Jones, of 214 Pilcher St. in Starkville, was sentenced to eight years in MDOC after post-release supervision for a previous conviction for burglary of a dwelling was revoked.
- Joshua Winters, of 613 Alva Stage Road in Kilmichael, was sentenced to nine years in MDOC after post-release supervision for a previous conviction for false pretense was revoked.
- Laporsha Lockett, of 301 Bonny View Ave. in Albany, Ga., pleaded guilty to uttering forgery. Lockett was sentenced to five years probation.
- Michael Doss, of 307 Center Ave. in Starkville, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Doss was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC and five years post-release supervision.
- Chant McCarter pleaded guilty to sale of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a daycare. McCarter was sentenced to five years probation.
- Tarando Neal, of 515 Whitfield St. in Starkville, pleaded guilty to three counts of sale of cocaine. Neal was sentenced to 15 years in MDOC with five years post-release supervision.
- Jose E. Flores, of 1033 Callahan Road in Aberdeen, pleaded guilty to felony false pretense. Flores was sentenced to three years probation.
- Kurtis Jenkins, of 2818 Rock Hill Road in Starkville, pleaded guilty to DUI — third offense. Jenkins was sentenced to four years in MDOC, one year post-release supervision and ordered to pay $1,000 in fines.
- Shonette Griffin pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. Griffin was sentenced to five years probation.

- Cameron Robinson, of 1981 Williams Road in Starkville, pleaded guilty to grand larceny. Robinson was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $1,420 in fines and restitution.
- Deroderick Goss, of 614 N. Court Ave. in Louisville, pleaded guilty to possession of hydrocodone with intent to distribute. Goss was sentenced to one year of house arrest and five years probation in lieu of 15 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections and ordered to pay $1,100 in fines and restitution.
- Benton Houser, of 355 Fourth St. NW in Vernon, Miss., pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. Houser was sentenced to four years probation.
- Clifton Hollingshed, of 1720 Box End E. in Starkville, was sentenced to five years in MDOC after post-release supervision for a prior conviction for sale of cocaine was revoked.
- James Figgures, of 2325 Old Crawford Road in Starkville, was sentenced to five years in MDOC after post-release supervision for a prior conviction for sexual battery was revoked.
- Bruce Rice, of 1928 Watt Hill Road in Starkville, was sentenced to five years in MDOC after probation for a previous conviction for possession of cocaine was revoked.
- n Kendrick Harvey, of 215 Louisville St. Apt. 7, pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling. Harvey was sentenced to three years in MDOC, five years post-release supervision and ordered to pay $1,000 in fines.
- Danny Neal, of 951 Mt. Olive Road in Starkville, pleaded guilty to DUI — third offense. Neal was sentenced to five years in MDOC, ordered to pay $2,000 in fines and to undergo alcohol and drug counseling.

- Kristopher Jackson, of 903 Louisville St. Apt. 18 in Starkville, pleaded guilty to burglary of an automobile. Jackson was sentenced to five years probation.
- Omar Jordan, of 196 Front St. in Artesia, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Jordan was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $1,500 in fines and restitution.
- Devon Riley, of 305 Everglade Street Apt. 17-A in Starkville, pleaded guilty to two counts of auto burglary. Riley was sentenced to seven years in MDOC and ordered to pay $1,200 in fines and restitution.
- Brian Buford, of 1135 Sturgis-Maben Road in Maben, pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence. Buford was sentenced to one year of probation.
- Jeremy Kyle Duke of 200 Phelps Road in West Point, pleaded guilty to grand larceny. Duke was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $3,250 in fines and restitution.
- Corey Brooks, of 1242 Deerbrook Road in Macon, pleaded guilty to grand larceny. Brooks was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $3,250 in fines and restitution.
- Michael Gregg, of 305 Everglade Ave. in Starkville, pleaded to DUI — third offense. Gregg was sentenced to two years in MDOC with three years supervision and ordered to pay $3,000 in fines.
- Allison Phillips, of 2358 Casey Circle in Carthage, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Phillips was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $5,000 in fines.
- Deundray Garth, of 1354 Blackjack Road in Starkville, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Garth was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay $1,000 in fines.
- Corey Allen May, of 22323 Pineville Road in Pass Christian, pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon on school property. May was sentenced to one year probation and ordered to pay $1,200 in fines.
