STARKVILLE — A Weir man accused of attacking two people at Shipley Donuts in May was indicted by a grand jury and will be arraigned on Oct. 17.
George Johnson, 21, of 3020 Pisgah Road in Weir, is charged with armed robbery and two counts of aggravated assault after he cut the throat of one female employee and stabbed a male employee several times at Shipley on May 31.
Johnson was held by Starkville Police Department on $350,000 bond since his arrest on May 31 and was taken into Oktibbeha County Sheriff”s Office custody on Aug. 19.
The following people were arrested on felony charges and booked in Oktibbeha County from Aug. 18-28:
- William Sneed, 31, was arrested Aug. 26 by the Oktibbeha County Sherrif”s Office on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
- Jessie Watson, 37, was arrested Aug. 25 by OCSO on a charge of burglary.
- Bryce Brown, 21, was arrested Aug. 25 by OCSO on a charge of felony evasion.
- Vince Davis, 44, was arrested Aug. 24 by the OCSO on a charge on grand larceny.
- Christopher Evans, 19, was arrested Aug. 20 by the OCSO on a charge of aggravated assault.
- Aaron Pruitt, 25, was arrested Aug. 19 by the OCSO on a charge of domestic violence.
- Marcel Nash, 19, was arrested Aug. 18 by OCSO on a charge of burglary of a vehicle.
- Mark Buckner, 19, was arrested Aug. 18 by Mississippi State Police Department on a charge of burglary.
- Melvin Bishop, 34, was arrested Aug. 18 by OCSO on a charge of parole violation.
- Joshua Moore, 21, was arrested Aug. 18 by OCSO on a charge of taking a motor vehicle.
