A trailer caught fire Thursday morning on Thaxton Road in Lowndes County, but no one was injured, County Fire Coordinator Sammy Fondren said.
The incident happened at around 5:30 a.m. and Lowndes County Volunteer Fire Department District 3 responded to the incident and did not leave the scene until around 6:30 a.m., Fondren said.
Fondren said someone called in the incident and described the fire as “fully-involved” with smoke and fire showing from the structure. Fondren believes the trailer was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
“(The trailer) is basically lost,” he said.
