Pizza delivery employees in Starkville can breathe easier.
The Starkville Police Department arrested two men Saturday for their roles in an attempted armed robbery of a Domino’s Pizza driver on Sade Ware Street and the armed robbery of Pizza Hut deliverer in Chandler Park on Reed Road on Oct. 29.
Greg Grayer, 18, of 723 White Oak Lane, and Caprice McCaskill-Keller, 18, of 411 Ave. G in Greenwood, were charged with attempted armed robbery after a foiled plot to rob a Domino’s employee Saturday. Police say Grayer and McCaskill-Keller called Domino’s Pizza to have a pizza delivered to an address on Sade Ware Street.
“The intent was to take the pizzas by force, but the plan was spoiled when someone arrived at the address and warned the intended victim,” an SPD press release reads. “A juvenile was also detained and questioned.”
Police declined to say who warned the pizza deliverer.
McCaskill-Keller also was charged with the armed robbery of a Pizza Hut deliverer at Chandler Park. The SPD said McCaskill-Keller robbed the Pizza Hut employee at gunpoint and made off with four large pizzas and $50. SPD is still searching for another person involved in the Chandler Park robbery.
Grayer and McCaskill-Keller were transported to Clay County Jail, where, as of Tuesday afternoon, they remained. Bond information was not available.
Both men will appear in municipal court on Dec. 15.
Anyone with information about these crimes is urged call the SPD at 662-323-0393 or 662-323-4131 or contact Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
