West Point law enforcement officials are asking for the public’s help in locating a man accused of assaulting a woman in May.
Tim Brinkley, the police chief with the West Point Police Department, in a media release Thursday, said authorities are looking for Quincy L. Brownlee, 27.
Brinkley stated in the release that in late May, Brownlee “forcibly entered the home of a female acquaintance” and assaulted her. The victim escaped and contacted police from another location, according to Brinkley.
A warrant has been issued for Brownlee’s arrest for aggravated domestic violence.
He is described as being 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and weighing 180 pounds. His last known address was 1377 Sand Creek Road in Starkville. Authorities added that Brownlee may be driving a white Buick LaSabre with Oktibbeha County plates.
Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers or the West Point Police Department at 662-494-1244.
