Music from a medieval composer will be featured at the Mississippi University for Women Choral Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Poindexter Hall, Connie Sills Kossen Auditorium.
The annual fall concert features a wide variety of choral music from medieval composer Hildegard von Bingen, followed by contemporary American composers.
The concert will be performed by University Chorus, Women’s Choral and the Chamber Singers, accompanied by MUW alumna Rachel Delk and current MUW student Robert Totten.
“Sharing choral music is like adding a small portion of beauty to the world, and it is uplifting to hear many voices joined together to make beautiful art,” said Dr. Phillip Stockton, assistant professor of music education and choral director.
The performance is free and open to the public.
