A 50-year-old West Point has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of child exploitation.
Marcus Wilburn Knight will also spend two years on probation following his release, according to Attorney General Jim Hood. Knight was also ordered to pay a $50,000 fine. Circuit Court Judge Lee J. Howard imposed the sentence.
Investigators with the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit led the investigation that ended in Knight’s arrest. The investigation — sparked by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children — revealed that Knight uploaded child pornography to his Gmail account, according to Hood.
