STARKVILLE — A West Point man is behind bars after he allegedly assaulted a man, bound him with shoelaces and raped a woman in the Cotton District Sunday, court documents state.
Starkville Police Department charged Terry Lamont Hill, 42, with aggravated assault, kidnapping, rape and robbery.
Starkville Municipal Court Judge Rodney Faver set Hill’s bond at a combined $1.1 million after his initial appearance Monday.
SPD responded to Maxwell Street Sunday after receiving reports of numerous felonies. The time of the incident was not provided in the department’s press release.
According to court documents, Hill allegedly repeatedly struck a male victim in the face with a blunt object, took his iPhone, tied him up and placed him in a closet. Hill also allegedly forced a female victim to have intercourse against her consent.
SPD did not release any details about the incident, but the release said the investigation is ongoing and could yield additional arrests.
