Lowndes County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Crawford man this week on suspicion of molesting a minor.
Tamaz Washington, 21, of 182 Lodge St., No. 3, was arrested near his home Monday morning. He is charged with touching a child for lustful purposes.
The minor is under 14, according to sheriff’s office Master Sgt. Darrell Nabors. Washington allegedly has molested the minor several times within the last year, he said.
Washington is being held in the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center. Justice Court Judge Chris Hemphill set his bond at $20,000.
