Fire severely damaged a Columbus home Wednesday night.
Columbus Fire and Rescue responded to the scene at about 10:30 p.m. The house, located near the intersection of 12th Avenue North and Waterworks Road, was home to a family of five, including three children. None of them were home when the fire broke out, and there were no injuries.
Public Information Officer Anthony Colom said while the house may not be a total loss, the damage is extensive.
Donations of children’s clothes for the family are being accepted at 801 Waterworks Road, Apartment 3, and 419 Woolbright St. The sizes needed are 3T and 4T and 9 shoes for a girl and 4T, 5T and 6-9 months for boys.
CFR is investigating the cause of the fire.
