A man is in custody at the Clay County Jail for an apparent armed robbery and assault in Starkville.
Lavon Leon Edmonds, 29, was booked just before 5 p.m. Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault manifesting in extreme indifference to life and armed robbery. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
Officer Brandon Lovelady with the Starkville Police Department confirmed Edmonds was arrested by the SPD but declined to release any other information by press time, including when and where the alleged robbery occurred.
