Christmas parades scheduled to be held both in Columbus and West Point tonight have been postponed to Tuesday due to weather.
There is a 100 percent chance of rain throughout today, so Columbus Mayor Robert Smith and Main Street Columbus Director Barbara Bigelow pushed the date of the annual Columbus Christmas parade to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The parade will begin near the Soccer Complex and make its way down Main Street and College Street.
In West Point, the Christmas Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Broad Street and Commerce Street, said Lisa Klutts, director of Main Street and Tourism wit the West Point Growth Alliance. The parade will run down Commerce and Main streets.
