Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Columbus man Sunday for allegedly breaking into a residence and stealing from it.
Antonio Hayes, 46, of 133 Beech St,, has been charged with one count of burglary. According to Capt. Ryan Rickert with the LCSO, Hayes broke into his estranged wife’s house on Swedenburg Road Sunday and stole an item. Rickert declined to say what the item was.
Hayes was arrested later that day and has since been released from the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
