A Starkville man faces a felony weapons charge after a Monday traffic stop.
Officers arrested Jermaine McLeod, 35, in the parking lot of Louisville Apartments, located at 1200 Louisville St., and charged him with felony possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana in a vehicle and driving under the influence second.
He was processed and released on a $7,205.25 bond. McLeod is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Starkville Municipal Court Monday at 6 p.m.
Two arrested for separate auto burglaries
Two men also face multiple auto burglary charges stemming from separate Monday incidents.
William H. Hedin, 23, of Starkville, faces two felony auto burglary charges connected to break-ins at Wildwood Estates, located at 1384 Louisville St.
Officers also charged Dequon R. Ellis, 21, of Kosciusko, with two counts of auto burglary in connection to an incident at Buffalo Wild Wings 703 Spring St. location.
Both men were booked in Oktibbeha County Jail.
A Starkville Police Department press release states Hedin’s bond was set at $5,000, but that figure was reported before a second auto burglary charge was added.
Ellis’ bond is $10,000.
Both men are due in municipal court on Jan. 30
