A Starkville man died Sunday after he was involved in a two-car wreck in the Blackjack community.
Oktibbeha County Deputy Coroner Billy Miller said 60-year-old Larry L. Smith died as emergency responders were transporting him to OCH Regional Medical Center.
Miller said he was dispatched to the scene – the intersection of Blackjack Road and Prather Drive – at approximately 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
Smith was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, Miller said, and was the only occupant in his vehicle. The status of the other driver was unknown at press time.
A call to the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department was not returned as of press time Monday.
