Bill and Loren Seres sold Steel Monkey Crossfit to Luke and Brittany Strohl on April 1.
The new owners have been employed with Steel Monkey for two years and aim to continue the business in its current direction.
“Crossfit helps clients by offering training that improves physical ability and confidence,” Luke told The Dispatch when asked about goals for the business. “Additionally, we’re looking to continue the business’ charity interaction and involve ourselves more with local businesses.”
For those unaware, Crossfit training involves constantly varied functional movement at high intensity. According to Strohl, this practice takes almost every exercise discipline and combines them to ensure well-rounded fitness. The workouts focus on practical movements that will ultimately improve everyday life for clients, while the powerful workouts’ difficulties help to push limits and allow clients to overcome their weaknesses.
Steel Monkey has four trainers on staff, including Luke and his wife. Classes are at 5:30, 6:30 and 8 a.m., and 4, 5 and 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9 and 10 a.m. Saturdays.
