Lowndes County sheriff’s deputies are seeking suspects in a home invasion Wednesday night in eastern Lowndes County which sent one person to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
Capt. Ryan Rickert said three armed black men allegedly entered a home on Tabernacle Road just before midnight. They assaulted the two residents and shot another person who was there but did not live in the home.
The shooting victim is in stable condition in a Jackson hospital, Rickert said. However, Rickert did not say whether the suspects took anything from the home.
The suspects had fled the scene by the time deputies arrived. They are described as three black men dressed in black and camouflage whose faces were covered.
No one has been arrested in the incident.
