Columbus Police have arrested four juveniles and an 18-year-old for burglary of a downtown Columbus office building.
CPD responded to a call to the Court Square Tower building at 605 Second Ave. N. on Friday after a construction worker on a routine check of the building found two juveniles who had apparently entered by force. CPD learned that several juveniles and one adult had been making several entries into the building since March.
Preston James Rice, 18, of 160 Maple St., and four juveniles ranging in age from 15 to 17 are charged with burglary. Rice will face a preliminary hearing on Aug. 10 in municipal court. The juveniles are being prosecuted through Lowndes County Youth Court.
