EL PASO, Texas — Craig Simmons, 63, died Feb. 2, 2020, Las Palmas Medical Center of El Paso, Texas. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Shiloh Full Gospel M.B. Church of Columbus, with Marcus Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Sandfield Cemetery. Visitation is from 12-6 p.m. today, at Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus in charge of arrangements. Mr. Simmons was born Dec. 16, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Daniel Brown and Gracie Mae Brown. He attended Caldwell High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was formerly employed with the United States Postal Service in El Paso, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Bettie R. Jones Simmons of El Paso, Texas; son, Orlando Jones of Surprise, Arizona; siblings, Linda Cobbs of Columbus, Terry Simmons of St. Louis, Missouri, Danny Simmons of El Paso, Texas, Perry Brown, Penny Smith, Gracie Brown, Janice Logan and Sally Tate all of Columbus; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Larry Brown, Timothy Dismukes, Willie James Murray, John Smith, Kelvin Tate and Stanley Tucker.
