Jane Rogowski

SSGT Jane Frances Cooper Rogowski passed away at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Due to the Public Health Emergency, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Mrs. Rogowski was born on May 12, 1948, to the late George and Frances Cooper. She graduated from Grange High School in Kinston, NC in 1966 and briefly attended East Carolina University. She then enlisted in the USAF in 1973 and served 20 years. During her career, she served tours in Thailand, Kuwait, and during the Gulf War. After her Air Force career ended she then went to work for the U.S Post Office for 10 years. She then retired from the post office to pursue her education. She attended the Mississippi University for Women and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. She was active in local art clubs and was a substitute teacher in Columbus. An active member of the Main Street Presbyterian Church, she was involved with Sunday School. Mrs. Rogowski is survived by her husband of 43 years, John V. Rogowski; daughter, Rachel Britton; grandsons, Jonathan Desmidt and Jack Avery Britton; son-in-law, Jacky Britton; and stepson, Mathew Rogowski as well as several nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law. The family would like to especially thank her caregivers, Dawn Pate, Chris Hoemak, Jessica Anthony, Wanda Johns, Gayle Thomas and Monique Saddler.
