NOXUBEE COUNTY – Annie C. Shamily, 83, died Jan. 17, 2021, at Delta Regional Hospital of Greenville. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Michael UMC Cemetery, with the Rev. Keri Bridges officiating. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. today, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Shamily was born Oct. 31, 1937, in Noxubee County, to the late Gardner Lee McCoy and Mattie Lee McCoy. She was a member of St. Michael UMC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie James Shamily. She is survived by her children, Earnest B. Shamily of St. Louis, Missouri, Earnest J. Shamily, Asalene Shamily, Jessie James Shamily, Mary D. Shamily and Joseph Shamily all of Macon; siblings, Mary Earl Clanton, Robert Earl McCoy and Selma Lee Boykins all of Macon; 24 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael Shamily, Patrick Maxwell, Demetrius Maxwell, Travis Maxwell, Mark Tripple and Timmy Williams.
