The untold connection between all these school and church massacres is the use of recreational or pharmaceutical drugs. Your child acts up? Give him a ADHD pill and forget about it. Is he depressed? Another pill. The story is endless.
How many of you can recall a time when you could order a firearm through the mail? No ID was required. No waiting period to see if the government thought it was “safe” for you to own a gun. Anybody remember taking a gun and ammo to school so you could go hunting afterwards? Anybody remember when every school day was opened with a prayer?
Before there were any “gun control” laws, there were no school shootings. Check your memory carefully, and I believe you’ll find everything began to go downhill around 1963, when Madeline Murray O’Hare sued to have “religion” removed from public schools.
Finally, I have a “sensible” suggestion for closing the “loophole” at gun shows. Everyone who tries to purchase a gun must show current proof that he/she is not restricted from buying a gun. A table of dealers could run a background check on those who want to buy. A concealed carry permit already does this.
During the “Old West” or “Wild West” when our Constitutional rights were not being as trampled as they are today, you did not have the mass murders we have today. There were some feuds, but the body count was comparatively low when compared to today.
