Vote against Initiative 42
Having worked in public education for 36 years I believe the legislative budget process for our state is still the best option that people have therefore I encourage voters on Nov. 3 to vote against amending our Constitution and vote against both 42 & its alternative, 42A. Mississippians want better for our children.
That means education choices to empower families and teachers. But Initiative 42 will centralize education decisions with a Jackson judge, taking away the power of your vote. It means bigger government, higher taxes and less parental control.
On Nov. 3, Mississippians will get the opportunity to vote on 42 and a legislative alternative called 42A. Voters are encouraged to explore the website to learn about 42 and 42A and the negative impact adopting 42 would have on our children, our schools and our state.
