Schools, discipline and the recent shooting
With the way things are in schools today, it would be pertinent and very prudent to install cameras in every classroom so that every corner of the class was covered. Add audio capability, and nobody can deny what was said or done.
How did our schools get in such a mess? Take your pick. God was removed from the schools. Students don’t get a firm, moral foundation anymore. Corporal punishment was banned and all hell broke loose. Some of these “kids” are bigger and stronger than their teachers. There is little to no discipline in classes any more. Not all students are running around like wild animals, but even one is too many.
Students need to realize just how important this “free” education is to them and do their best to get good grades. Leave your cell phones in your locker, or turn them off from eight to three. You’re there to learn, not to text your boyfriend.
Ever since Ferguson, Missouri, it seems that some people intentionally start something with law officers, hoping to get 15 minutes of fame on TV, or maybe win a big lawsuit. Then the liberal news media fans the fires of hatred, showing just one side of any altercation.
Recently a young black man was killed by police in Columbus. Why? Officials are working on their report. Here’s another view. If he would have just sat in the car instead of bailing and running, he would be alive today. The driver was stopped for a minor traffic violation. Maybe he would have faced a couple of charges if the police had cause to search him. As it turned out, they had plenty of probable cause. Officers, automatically turn your body cams on every time to exit your car.
Everybody is touting Initiative 42 or 42A, concerning getting the school funded as per state law. This was a poorly worded law, and the resulting chaos proves it. …
Throwing more money at the education system is not a guarantee that things will improve. Raw stats and data clearly show that. Our children, students, are America’s future. They deserve the very best education that can be offered to them, by the very best teachers we can find. I would love to see the teachers’ union go the way of the dinosaur. I believe education would begin to improve then.
