Elections and other ramblings
Ward 5 is having a important election, and I urge the voters in that ward to get out and vote.
What I want to address is the national election. How many of you are tired of all the campaigning going on? I think it would be a good idea to limit the period of political campaigning to 3 and no more than 6 months. The man I support, (this shows I will not vote the democratic ticket), doesn’t stand a chance, but I still support him. The Republicans are pitted against themselves, I thought they were running against the Dems. Until this nation can come together as one, we will never be one nation, much less one under God. I have seen enough of the third world in my military travels to know we have the greatest country in the world. You don’t see people trying to get in Russia, Cuba, or many other countries like they are trying to get into the USA.
We have one real problem in America. It is a moral one. God has been removed from the schools and most government functions, so what can we expect. I know there are those that will question my thoughts, that is their right (1st Amendment) don’t you know. I just ask those to show me how we are better of morally today than a mere 20 years ago?
Being a senior citizen, old codger, one set in his way or how ever you describe me, I grew up through the greatest era of all times 50s and 60s. Those days authority was respected, God was revered and parent were responsible for their children. Things started downhill in the 70s when the theme was “if it felt good do it”, self gratification and free love. Think back! Where are we today?
Most government is corrupt from top to bottom. Power and big money is god. Can I say payday some day. God is still in control. There are agnostic and others that laugh at the that. I am comfortable in my own skin.
Prove me wrong. You are forgiven.
God bless America.
