Media bias in Zimmerman gun sale
“I hesitate to bring up the facts.” With these words Leonard Pitts began his column in Sunday’s paper. How true! When the facts run afoul of his biased, racist, twisted agenda, damn them!
Recently he wrote a piece about George Zimmerman trying to sell the gun he used to defend his life when he killed Trayvon Martin who was beating his Zimmerman’s head on a concrete sidewalk. That is attempted murder, and killing Martin was justified, no matter what lead up to the unprovoked attack.
Everything Zimmerman did that fateful night was legal. Martin was dressed like burglars who had been hitting homes in the neighborhood, so Zimmerman had every right to see what Martin was up to. If Martin was innocent of any wrongdoing, all he had to do was run. He chose to attack. Wrong choice. If Zimmerman would have displayed his pistol sooner, maybe Martin would have opted to not jump an armed man. Who knows. Even the NAACP, in a newspaper article I read, said that Martin was “trouble.”
That’s all old news, now, but at least some news organizations should have the courage to print the facts, all of them, and straighten this lie out.
Zimmerman has a perfect right to dispose of an object he no longer wishes to possess, and all the Leonard Pitts in the world have no right to tell him he can’t. I dare everybody to remove their racial blinders and to look at all these times a “young, innocent, black man” has been killed by the police. Pure stupidity on the part of these youths crossed a line that cost them their lives.
As far as “the most dangerous place in the world goes,” my money is on a biased media newsroom where the truth gives way to political correctness. This country is being destroyed by PC and cowardice by people who are afraid to speak the truth for fear of being called a “racist”. Wake up, America.
