Columbus’ observance of the National Day of Prayer
The Christian Community in Prayer Committee, sponsors of the local observance of the National Day of Prayer, thank the people of the Columbus-Lowndes area for joining us on May 3rd for this year’s event. It was a very good day as over 400 people joined together in prayer on the lawn of the Courthouse. Our appreciation extends to the prayer leaders, individuals and organizations who helped organize and promote this event. Our hope is that the spirit of unity demonstrated on this occasion will carry forward in the days ahead. We encourage our fellow citizens to remain faithful in praying for the safety and well being of our city, state and nation as well as for all our government leaders.
