Appreciates wide support for Kratom ban
On behalf of the Crime and Addiction Task Force of The Lowndes Community Foundation I would like to update the public with what has been happening in regard to the Kratom ban effort. When we first started there was one city (New Albany) and one county (Union) that had banned the sale and possession of Kratom. As of April 3rd there are eight counties and 14 cities that have passed the ban with more on the way. The counties are Alcorn, Tishomingo, Prentiss, Itawamba, Lowndes, Union, Monroe and Tippah. The cities are Columbus, Caledonia, New Albany, Fulton, Mantachie, Ponotoc, Booneville, Corinth, Belmont, Marietta, Iuka, Ripley, Bruce and Derma. We would like to thank all of the governmental officials in these cities and counties for doing the right thing to protect the lives and welfare of their citizens.

Chairman Crime and Addiction Task Force, Lowndes Community Foundation
