Concerned with airport decision
In response to the articles on hiring a consultant for the Columbus-Lowndes County Airport, I agree totally with The Dispatch. What are we missing here? The Lowndes Co. Airport Board, along with Mr. Milburn, chose Mr. Rabren to do a job. Was Mr. Milburn paid during the interview process? In my opinion Mr. Rabren is doing a fantastic job. This young man has an education at Delta State in aviation management. This should be a slap in the face for Mr. Rabren. He is young, but very motivated. Columbus-Lowndes County Airport will never be a Hartsfield Atlanta airport. And how come we never hear from Mr. Jeff Smith, after all he is the board president. It’s always Mr. Armstrong’s quotes in the paper. Maybe the city could save this money and spend it on a consultant to curb spending and managing what little money they have. I personally have been mislead by our officials in this city and county. Maybe the county could buy out the city’s part of the airport and run smoothly.
Hate to see the day when we lose Mr. Sanders in the Supervisor board. So come election time please cast your ballots with much scrutiny. Wake up Columbus.
