Takes issue with Earth Day photo
I could not believe the photo in this week’s paper of the Cook Middle School students releasing balloons to celebrate Earth Day.
It’s no wonder that our schools are rated F when a principal and teachers waste students time performing an activity that is the cause of death and suffering to thousands of sea and land animals each year, not to mention its contribution to the island of plastic the size of Texas that is floating around the Pacific Ocean.
Do these “educators” even know what Earth Day is about?
And shame on the Dispatch too for even publishing that photo.
