An Alabama woman died in a vehicle accident in Lowndes County Tuesday night.
Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash, which occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant said the victim was driving on Military Road near the intersection of Black Creek Road when she apparently ran off the road and her vehicle overturned.
Merchant has not released the victim’s identity, pending next-of-kin notification.
LCSO Major Billy Wood said the vehicle was headed north when it went off the road and rolled several times. The victim, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected.
LCSO is investigating the wreck.
