STARKVILLE — Former Mississippi State basketball players Lamar Peters and Aric Holman have found their National Basketball Association homes.
After going unselected in Wednesday’s NBA Draft, Peters signed a free-agent deal with the New York Knicks, while Holman will join the Los Angeles Lakers.
Peters finished the 2018-19 season as MSU’s second leading scorer at 11.9 points per game. He also averaged 5.2 assists per in 34 games played and shot 38.6 percent from 3-point range.
Peters forfeited his final year of NCAA eligibility to enter the draft.
Holman averaged 9.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest last season, while his 42.9 percent shooting from 3-point range led the team.
Peters and Holman join fellow Bulldog Quinndary Weatherspoon in the NBA. The San Antonio Spurs selected Weatherspoon with the No. 49 overall pick of the draft.
