Steve Shaw, coordinator of football officials for the Southeastern Conference, will speak Thursday to the Starkville Quarterback Club at the Starkville Country Club.
The social hour will begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 and the meeting at 7 p.m.
“Shaw is a veteran of SEC football officiating with more than 15 years of experience,” Starkville Quarterback Club President Brent Deweese. “We look forward to gaining some insight on what it’s like to officiate an SEC football game.”
John Hevesy, Mississippi State’s offensive line coach and running game coordinator, will update members on MSU’s football team and provide a scouting report on the University of Georgia, MSU’s opponent at 11 a.m. Saturday in Athens, Ga. (Fox Sports South).
Starkville Surgical Associates are sponsoring this week’s featured speaker. The dinner for the evening will be fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls, salad bar, dessert, and tea.
Deweese said QB club information is available at www.starkvillequarterbackclub.com, or by calling 662-312-9477.
