STARKVILLE — Mississippi State enjoyed a record day last year when eight players committed during the annual Big Dawg Camp at Davis Wade Stadium.
While the Bulldogs enjoyed another star-studded event with more than 100 participants, the commitment haul came in slightly less Friday night.
Tre Brown, Nero Nelson, and Korey Charles each committed at the conclusion of this year’s event.
The Bulldogs now have 15 commitments for the 2016 class.
Brown is a defensive tackle from Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson. 247Sports doesn’t have him rated.
Nelson is a three-star athlete out of Hollandale. He also has offers from Florida State, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisville, Memphis, Ole Miss, and Southern Miss.
Charles is also a three-star athlete, but he hails from Tallahassee, Florida. He has offers from Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Penn State, South Florida, and Wisconsin.
In other news, Columbus High School rising junior Kylin Hill confirmed to The Dispatch Saturday night that he received at camp Friday as well.
Hill then doubled his pleasure Saturday when he was offered at the Ole Miss Senior High School 1-day Camp in Oxford.
Hill has three offers. The first came from Memphis.
