HOOVER, Ala. — Robbie Glendinning hit a grand slam and Andy Toelken pitched 4 2/3 innings of scoreless relief Tuesday as the Missouri baseball team eliminated Texas A&M 12-7 in the Southeastern Conference tournament.
Tenth-seeded Missouri (36-21) earned its seventh-straight victory and advanced to the double-elimination portion of the tournament. Missouri will face No. 2 seed LSU (39-17) today.
Texas A&M, seeded seventh, led 6-4 before Glendinning’s fourth-inning grand slam off Kaylor Chafin put Missouri ahead for good. Glendinning had five RBIs.
Missouri’s Matt Berler and Chris Cornelius also homered.
Toelken shut down the Aggies after replacing starter Tanner Houck, who allowed seven runs in 4 1/3 innings. Toelken struck out five and allowed three hits.
Cam Blake had three RBIs and Austin Homan had two for Texas A&M (36-21).

Vanderbilt 4, 11 innings: Riley Hogan drew a bases-loaded walk and Alex Destino added a two-run double with two outs in the 11th inning to lift South Carolina to a victory against Vanderbilt on Tuesday in the opening game of the SEC tournament.
The Gamecocks (33-23) will play third-seeded Kentucky today when the format moves to double elimination.
The Commodores (33-22-1) are eliminated.
South Carolina capitalized on three walks and doubles by Justin Row and Destino in the top of the 11th.
Carlos Cortes and Jonah Bride homered in the first two innings for South Carolina. Cortes drew four walks in the game, including an intentional pass in the 11th.
Vanderbilt’s Will Toffey had a three-run double in the second inning and the Commodores tied it 4-4 on Connor Kaiser’s seventh-inning home run.
South Carolina reliever Tyler Johnson (1-2) pitched 4-1/3 scoreless innings. He struck out eight and walked one.
