Chris Lemonis’ first coaching staff as Mississippi State’s baseball coach is now complete.
Kendall Rogers of d1baseball.com reported and a source confirmed to The Dispatch that MSU has hired North Carolina State’s pitching coach Scott Foxhall to the same position. He completes the staff that already has Jake Gautreau as the other assistant coach and Kyle Cheesebrough as the volunteer assistant and coordinator of camps.
N.C. State was a national seed last season, going 42-18 but ultimately losing to Auburn in the Raleigh Regional.
Foxhall just finished his fourth season with the Wolfpack, after four years at Auburn. He earned the opportunity at Auburn and in the Southeastern Conference with a long, successful run at College of Charleston, where he finished his college career. He produced the Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year four times in Charleston.
