No. 6 MSU set for journey to Oxford

STARKVILLE -- The No. 6 Mississippi State women's basketball team will take on Ole Miss at 7 p.m. Thursday (SEC Network+) in a Southeastern Conference game at The Pavilion at Ole Miss. 


Fans can listen to the action on the MSU Radio Network and online via and the TuneIn app. 


MSU defeated Ole Miss 80-49 on Jan. 27 in Starkville. Teaira McCowan scored a season-high 33 points as MSU claimed its 10th consecutive victory in the series. McCowan added 13 rebounds for a double-double. Anriel Howard added 16 points and 11 rebounds. 


MSU is coming off a 92-64 win at then-No. 22 Texas A&M. The 28-point margin of victory is MSU's largest against a ranked opponent. The Bulldogs extended their ranking streak to 90 consecutive weeks in The Associated Press Top 25 this week, including a 54-week run in the top 10. 


Ole Miss enters the game with a 9-17 record (3-9 in the SEC).  


n Alabama will take on Vanderbilt: At Nashville, Tennessee, the Alabama women's basketball team will look to get back on track at 7 p.m. Thursday (SEC Network+) when it faces Vanderbilt at Memorial Gymnasium. 


Alabama (11-14, 3-9) is on a four-game losing streak, while Vanderbilt (6-19, 1-11) has lost its last six.
