STARKVILLE — Mississippi State redshirt junior walk-on quarterback Logan Burnett has entered the transfer portal per a source close to the situation.
Burnett, who completed his second career pass Saturday against Arkansas, is entering the portal as he prepares for a future graduate school opportunity.
Per NCAA rules, he was required to enter the portal in order to unofficially visit the unnamed school during MSU’s bye this week. Once his visit is completed he is expected to withdraw his name from the transfer portal and finish the season with the Bulldogs.
In six career games, Burnett has completed 2 of 2 passes for 33 yards and added another three yards on one rush attempt.
MSU Athletics had no comment on the situation.
