The East Mississippi Community College women’s basketball team earned its 10th win of the season Monday, while the men dropped a heartbreaker against MCC on the road.
On the women’s side, Taylor Lattimore tied a season-high with 19 points, while Ja’Mia Hollings had 14 points and 11 rebounds en route to the Lions’ fifth straight win, a 61-48 victory.
Meanwhile, the men fell to MCC 63-62. Donte Powers had 17 points and eight rebounds, while Traemond Pittman contributed 13 points and nine rebounds. Jakorie Smith also scored 11 points. The Lions (9-4) are back in action against Holmes Community College at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Scooba.
