BATESVILLE — The Starkville High School girls team beat South Panola 67-57 on Friday in Batesville.
Junior Amaya Ford scored a career-high 46 points for the Yellow Jackets in the victory and grabbed 11 rebounds.
Starkville will play at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Classic at East Central Community College on Monday.
Columbus boys 48, Corinth 39
ABERDEEN — The Columbus High School boys team beat Corinth 48-39 in Saturday’s game at the Aberdeen Shootout.
Blake Burnett scored 18 for the Falcons (12-8), and Gabe Williams scored 12.
Columbus will host Grenada on Friday.
Columbus girls 56, Corinth 17
ABERDEEN — The Columbus girls beat Corinth 56-17 on Saturday at the Aberdeen Shootout.
For the Falcons (15-3), Aniya Saddler had 18 points, and DJ Jackson scored 17. Jackson was named the game’s most outstanding player.
Makayla Rieves added 10 points and eight rebounds for Columbus.
Madison-Ridgeland Academy boys 71, Heritage Academy 66
The Heritage Academy boys team lost to Madison-Ridgeland Academy 71-66 in Saturday’s home game.
Jared Long had 28 points to lead the Patriots, and Eli Acker scored 17.
Heritage Academy will host Leake Academy on Tuesday.

The Heritage Academy boys beat East Rankin Academy 72-19 in Friday’s home game.
Long scored 17 points for the Patriots, and Mack Howard had 10.

ETHEL — The West Lowndes boys team lost to Ethel 66-52 in Friday’s road game.
Darrell Brooks led the Panthers with 17 points, Fredrick Rice and Melvin Crawford each scored 10, and Jherquaveus Sanders had eight.
West Lowndes travels to face Noxapater on Tuesday.
West Lowndes girls 74, Ethel 41, Friday
ETHEL — The West Lowndes girls improved to 14-0 with a 74-41 win on Friday in Ethel.
Marvaysha Seals scored 26 points to lead the Panthers. Tydajasha Hood scored 16, and Ashanti Williams scored 11.
Starkville Academy boys 63, Leake Academy 34, Friday
The Starkville Academy boys beat Leake Academy 63-34 in Friday’s home game.
Randall Futral and George Delp each scored 13 points for the Volunteers, and Jawon Yarbrough scored 11.
The Vols will host Winston Academy on Tuesday.
Leake Academy girls 64, Starkville Academy 29, Friday
STARKVILLE — The Starkville Academy girls lost to Leake Academy 64-29 on Friday in Starkville.
Fallon Parker scored 12 points for the Vols, and Lillee Alpe scored 11.
Central Holmes Christian girls 63, Oak Hill Academy 36, Friday
WEST POINT — The Oak Hill Academy girls lost to Central Holmes Christian 63-36 on Friday in West Point.
Rachel McLain scored 15 points for the Raiders, who are the No. 2 seed in their district.
Oak Hill will travel to face Carroll Academy on Tuesday in Carrollton.
Columbus Christian Academy boys 65, Pickens Academy (Ala.) 57
CARROLLTON, Ala. — The Columbus Christian Academy boys beat Pickens Academy (Alabama) 65-56 in Saturday’s game in Carrollton, Alabama.
Lawson Studdard led the Rams with 26 points. Jonathan Peal and Will Teague each scored 18.
For the Pirates, Seth Peeks led the way with 25 points. Travis Dean scored 11, and Rafe Brown scored nine.
Columbus Christian Academy will host Starkville Christian on Tuesday.
Pickens Academy (10-6) will host Southern Academy (Alabama) on Tuesday.
Pickens Academy (Ala.) girls 55, Columbus Christian Academy 46
CARROLLTON, Ala. — The Pickens Academy girls beat Columbus Christian Academy 55-46 in Saturday’s game in Carrollton, Alabama.
Caroline Lewis scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds for the Pirates (10-4), and Shelby Lowe had 12 points and five rebounds. Jessi Latham added nine points and nine rebounds.
For the Rams, Kylie Emerson scored 18 points. Taylor Tipton and CC Devos each scored eight.
Marshall Academy boys 76, Columbus Christian Academy 62, Friday
HOLLY SPRINGS — The Columbus Christian Academy boys team lost 76-62 to Marshall Academy in Friday’s road game.
Studdard led the Rams with 19 points, Teague scored 14, and Peal scored 13.
