MOBILE, Ala. – Auburn fans in the Mobile area who wanted to chow down on duck meat while watching the Tigers defeat the Oregon Ducks for the national championship may have been out of luck.
At least two stores sold out of duck meat Monday as fans were getting ready for the big game.
The Press-Register reported that Mosley”s Fine Meats in Daphne was out of duck by Monday evening. Owner Daron Mosley said the market sold about 100 pounds of the bird.
The Mosley”s market in Mobile also reported a sellout of duck meat.
This isn”t the first time Mosley”s has sold out of a football related food. Mosley said therd have been heavy requests for alligator meat before past Alabama-Florida gams.
