The second season begins today. All season, the Mississippi State womenís basketball team has talked about living up to its expectations and potential and earning a return trip to the NCAA tournament. Starting at 9 tonight, sixth-seeded MSU can take the first step toward guaranteeing its goal when it takes on 11th-seeded South Carolina in the first round of the Southeastern Conference tournament at Alltel Arena in North Little Rock, Ark.

 

 

MSU baseball will try to avoid distractions in Hawaii

Hawaii wonít be all fun and games for the Mississippi State Bulldogs if they donít playing good baseball. MSU coach John Cohen wants his team to have a good time, but he hopes it takes the baseball side of the trip seriously when it plays a four-game series against the University of Hawaii.

 

 

Mullen suspends defensive back Langston

Mississippi State defensive back Maurice Langston will have to wait a little longer to make a difference on the football field. MSU football coach Dan Mullen has suspended Langston indefinitely for an undisclosed violation of team rules. The move comes on the heels of Langstonís arrest Saturday night in Hattiesburg.
