BROOKSVILLE — William “Bill” Butler, 65, died Dec. 14, 2017, at Regency Hospital in Meridian. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Brooksville United Methodist Church with Curtis Bray officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Butler was born Feb. 3, 1952, in Macon, to the late Oscar Eugene and Pauline Rose Von Kanel Butler. He was a 1970 graduate of Noxubee County High School and formerly operated his family’s farm. He was retired from Barge Forest Products in Macon after 13 years and was later employed with Superior Fish Products. He was a member of Deerbrook Baptist Church and attended Brooksville United Methodist Church and Shaeffer’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Becky W. Butler of Brooksville; one daughter, Liza Ross of Meridian; two sons, Hank Butler of Bailey and Ben Butler of Madison; two sisters, Patricia Moran of Shreveport, Louisiana and Frances King of Napels, Florida; two brothers, David Butler of Starkville and Carey Butler of Columbus; and seven grandchildren.
